This study aims to describe some situations of meaning-making and construction by French language students in middle school classes. More specifically, it seeks to explore their representations of the knowledge taught, which remains subject to fragmentation, and the study practices that provide insights into their level of understanding regarding the cognitive continuity of school tasks.
