The word (badl) and its connotations in the Book of God Almighty

Abstract

This survey is an attempt to identify the contexts in which the different forms of the term (allowance) (permutation) are used in the holy Quran.  It was demonstrated that this term has but three different meanings; it denotes either a replacement, a change or putting a thing in the place of another one. When it denotes replacement, it is restricted to nouns; when it denotes   change, it covers both nouns and verbs; when it denotes putting a thing in the place of another one, it is restricted to nouns. Hence, the problem   relates to which one to use in the place of the other, the first or the second.
