Political Parties and Political Marketing in Algeria: Exploring the Missing Connection

This article aims to identify the mechanisms and strategies used by political parties
for political marketing in Algeria, and their effectiveness in attracting and mobilizing voters to obtain their electoral support and votes. We will discuss Algerian political parties in terms of their origin, functions and classifications, and the development of political marketing methods adopted by the Algerian political parties and how they enabled them to take root in society. The National Liberation Front Party (Front de Libération Nationale (FLN)), the National Democratic Rally Party (Rassemblement National Democratique (RND)) and the Movement of the Society of Peace (Mouvement de la Société de Paix) were chosen for studying political marketing in them. Despite the political marketing methods followed by these parties, they havemoved away from using political marketing and its mechanisms due to the many obstacles and impediments that prevent the application and benefit from all the mechanisms and strategies of political marketing in Algeria.
