Abstract

Genetic structuralism is one of the problematic approaches dealt with within Arab literary criticism. It possesses a unique critical and philosophical character that make it both easy and difficult at the same time. It has tried, however, to create communication links between contextual criticism represented by the “social method” and textual criticism represented by the “structuralist approach”. This study deals with genetic structuralism, its various mechanisms and terminology.
