Kant's philosophy of religion
Abstract
The philosophy of religion emerged as an organized philosophical and systematic study with Immanuel Kant in his book “Religion within the Limits of Reason.” There is no doubt that this philosophy had indications before that, as previous philosophers had philosophical analyzes of some religious topics, but it does not amount to forming a philosophy of religion with integrated elements and a precise method, relying on On reason alone, avoiding theological or doctrinal defense. This is what Kant did with the philosophy of religion, especially since he examined religious facts in a free, rational manner, and critically analyzed religion as a religion and avoided the methods and purposes of theology. Hence, the main problem of our research is:
What is Kant's philosophy of religion? How did he apply critical tendency in the field of theology? What are the mechanisms he used in his criticism?
