Transidentity and hybridity in French Chinese literature. Reading From A Night The Moon Has Not Raised by Dai Sijie

Abstract

In this article, we address a question at the center of French-speaking literature and even more so with the Franco-Chinese writer: Daï Siji, that of the relationship to French culture and language. In his novel By a night where the moon did not rise, the interchanges between Chinese language / culture, that of the author and the French language / culture reveal a cultural and identity hybridity as a specificity of writing. It is a question here of the analysis of the cultural and linguistic dimension of the text and what makes its particularity as a hybrid text, by trying to answer this question: What are the remarkable singularities, and the representative processes of a interbreeding of languages ​​that inhabit writing and testify to the need for a transidentitarian and transcultural look?
