Abstract

This research paper aims to investigate the folds of postmodern narrative discourse and stand on its major transformations, and the relationship between culture and narrative in the midst of these transformations that call for spreading the spirit of coexistence and dialogue between different cultures. This proposition is embodied in the novel “Me and Haim” by Habib Al-Sayeh, as it represented a zone of dialogue between the Algerian Muslim self and the Jewish other, which sought to remove all the boundaries and boundaries imposed by culture, customs and traditions that the society gathers, trying to bring this other into the circle of the ego so that peaceful coexistence can take place. And civilized, which is guaranteed by human logic and prevented by culture and belief. After that, the narration is a purely imaginary space that took upon itself to improve the image of the other and present it in a new form to the reader within implicit patterns that spread and leak out at every reading, and this is what we stopped this approach on.
