Abstract

The term 'Ethics of Divine Creation' is a contemporary concept introduced by biologist Alex Mauron to denote significant human intervention in the natural order,  a process he labels as divine creation. This ethical framework aligns with technological advancements in the biomedical sphere aimed at enhancing human capabilities. It proposes the establishment of pragmatic ethical guidelines to regulate these advancements. The perspective of divine creation espouses a balanced outlook toward the outcomes of immense technological strides. It aims to safeguard the achievements of biotechnological progress within the biomedical field while cautiously embracing them, preserving the inherent aspects of human nature without hindering the course of development. This ethical stance represents a moderate approach between two extreme viewpoints: the unbounded optimism of transformed humanity advocating unrestricted control over life, and the conservative approach adamantly opposed to any alteration of life and the sanctity of human nature."
