Intertextuality and its Aesthetics in Badi Al-Zaman Al-Hamadhani Poetry

Abstract

Intertextuality is among the prominent artistic phenomenon in the poetry heritage. The noticeable throughout the Arabic poetic ages is that poets were proactive in employing this mechanism in their poetry. This study aims to search for intertextuality and its Aesthetics the in the poetry of Badi’ al-Zaman al-Hamadhani. By following the scientific method, we explored the concept of intertextuality in Western and Arab contexts and put a clear image of the mechanisms of intertextuality in Hamadani’s poems. our aim was to identify to what extent did the phenomenon of intertextuality prevail in the poems of Badi’ al-Zaman al-Hamadhani?
