Mohamed Bennis sought to draw the boundaries of poetic writing which gives great importance to the quality of poetry and its new aesthetic and artistic standards that is rebellious in every old form which is a problematic issue to be identified. The latter made him establish the modern critic movement in Arabic poetry in general and Moroccan in particular and produce a critical speech that greatly maximizes the specificity of the literary creativity, avoids any in its misunderstanding, and also departs from subjecting it to any critical approach that does not fit with it, so that criticism would be part of the creative process.
