The Metamorphosis and Suspicion of Human Existence in the Works of Omar Al-Shihabi in the period of Quarantine

Abstract

This research paper aims to investigate the works of the visual artist Omar Al-Shihabi, completed in 2020, by presenting an analytical reading that relates it to the conditions and circumstances of its completion. This is done by tracing the impact of applying preventive measures resulting from the spread of the Corona epidemic Covid-19 in the world, in order to clarify the impact of quarantine measures on human existence. This is also done to highlight the two states of suspicion and disfigurement that colored the latter with, and to explain the consequences of reflecting this effect and its manifestation in these fine paintings.
