Abstract

The study aims to identify the formation of space in “the Badiya of Sidi Khaled”, and the narrative layers of this Bedouin society. It also explores the components of the Bedouin society in “Hiziya”, the poetry collection Mohamed Djarboua utilizes to highlight Algerian modern poetry. Moreover, the poet chose the story of “Hiziya” because of its strong relationship with the Algerian popular heritage. This study raises the problem of how places, assets, customs, and traditions, were formed in this desert space. And how the narrative layers moved towards this narrative focus? Thus, the research plan is of two parts: first; “Sidi Khaled”; the space of depth and the variant forming; and second, the formation of the narrative layers.
