The Flint Revelation: a Study in the Stone Iconography of Ibrahim al-Koni

Abstract

This paper explores the Iconic Stone Secrets in Ibrahim al-Koni’s narrative writing. The writer’s story of the "Stone lord» was taken as a reference because of its cultural, religious and mythology loads regarded as artistic and aesthetic local heritage.  Being a master of the stones and their reverence, the writer has thrown them in the context of the great Antilles questions raised in his desert imagination and defines the mirage border of the Tuareg travel map, which has a ghostly presence.
