The Haiku Poem in the Contemporary Algerian Poetry

Abstract

This study seeks to trace the form of the haiku in the contemporary Algerian poetry, by defining the concept of the haiku poem, and examining its manifestations among the most prominent Algerian pioneers (Achour Fenni, El-Akhdar Barka, Faissal El-Ahmar). This study focuses on choosing the collection (The Maple's Haiku) by the poet Maachou Krour as a model to check on the characteristics of this short poetic form of this poet who assigned a lot of poetic collection to the haiku.
