Abstract

This study seeks to monitor the most important principles and procedures followed in activating the Arab critical discourse of the critic “Yusef OUGHLICI”.  It also seeks   to identify the specificity and the nature of his critical practice, as well as the extent of matching his methodological and critical procedures with Western theories. Accordingly, the problematic of this study included a number of concerted questions, among them: How was the critical awareness of “Yusef OUGHLICI” formed? What are the most important methodological methods and procedural tools that “OUGHLICI” adopted in his critical project? Was the adoption of “OUGHLICI” limited to Western methodological procedures, or did he try to drop some concepts and principles of Arab critical discourse in his critical practices?
