The importance of the search for the image of women and their formations lies in the experience of Bishara El-Khoury with its coincidence and the historical period that he represents. He is among a group of poets who count on the transitional phase in poetry, who have revolted against all colonial regime in all its forms. He has a double culture that reflects sensitivity to Classicism in its old sense, and Romanticism in the modern era. Accordingly, the image of women in the Khoury's poetry cannot be separated far from his contemplative preoccupation with public issues, as he did not favor pure romance in his artistic formation of the image of women despite being influenced by the romanticism in the French culture in language, translation and literature. He also did not abandon the traditional poet’s role that reveals a solid balance between love and the domination of public events that contributed to highlighting the patriotism through the image of women.
