Between the margin and the center A reading of the poems “Kaf Al-Kun” and “O Mulberry Paper Woman” By Abdullah Hammadi

Abstract

The contemporary poet seeks to deceive the reader by modern mechanisms within his/her poetic text. The poet Abdellah Hammadi is one of those poets who see that text production is an esthetic adventure. He shows in his poetic collections, especially in the last one, that the poetics of the Algerian contemporary text makes a text out of the margin of a previous text: “Kef El Kaoun” (The ‘U’ of the Universe) becomes the center ofa new text brought out of the margin of an older text: Mullberry-Leaf Woman.
