Abstract

The study deals with an important topic, which is a stylistic study of musical indicators in a traditional poetic text, which is Abu Ya’qub al-Khuraimi’s poem lamenting for Baghdad, which is considered one of the beginnings of the art of lamenting cities and kingdoms in Arabic literature, an art that combines an educational purpose and a distinct artistic style. It is the product of the Abbasid era, in which poetry was characterized by artistic maturity and many aspects of innovation.
