Abstract

The Ecole Normale Supérieure's mission is to train future teachers, and prepare them to take responsibility for the classroom, as well as the teaching profession, which requires the existence of a background of academic and pedagogical knowledge. that the future teacher will apply during the practical internship or in the field.

The practical internship is the trainee's first contact with the professional world, and allows him to embody and concretize all the knowledge acquired during the four or five years of training, without creating a break between the aspects: academic, educational, and professional. .

It is at this level that the interaction between academic and professional knowledge takes place; the student trainee can make the connection between what is taught and how to teach.

What knowledge do students acquire during their training at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, enabling them to acquire a professional attitude?

What is academic knowledge, and what is its role?

What is professional knowledge, and what is its role?

How does the interaction between the two types of knowledge take place? And how important is it?
