The study explores the deployment of religion and myths in contemporary Algerian fiction as aesthetic mechanisms for critiquing crisis-ridden reality.

It adopts an analytical-comparative methodology to examine the integration of religious discourse and mythic heritage in selected novels.

Central questions address: How do religion and myth transform into narrative tools for resistance and critique? What are their aesthetic and symbolic functions in shaping fictional discourse?

The analysis focuses on the interplay between religious and mythic heritage, reconfiguring them as expressive devices for contemporary societal crises.
