Résumé

This study examines the aesthetic and semantic dimensions of the textual void in She and the Sea, viewing it as an active agent in meaning construction. Using a semiotic framework enriched by an interpretive approach, it analyzes visual and linguistic signs and their influence on narrative rhythm and structure. It asks: How do silence and white space shape meaning? What roles do textual interruptions and punctuation marks play? To what extent can the void function as a parallel interpretive space to the written text?
