Dialogism of Satirical Discourse in the Short Stories of Saïd Boutajine: The Collection Damn You All as a Paradigmatic Model
Keywords:
short story, experimentation, irony, Narrative discourse, dialogismAbstract
This study aims to uncover the dialogism of satirical discourse in Saïd Boutajine's short stories, using the collection Damn You All as a model, to renew short story stylistics by deconstructing religious and political hegemonies.
It poses key questions: How does satire manifest dialogically? What is its relation to Bakhtinian polyphony and carnivalization? Does it expose the falsehood of dominant discourse?
The methodology employs Bakhtinian dialogism alongside narrative analysis of selected samples, tracking caricature and intertextuality.
It concludes that satire is a resistance strategy redistributing voices in favor of the marginalized intellectual.
