Abstract

This research paper aims to explore the artistic and cognitive integration in the contemporary novel through the novel “The Devil Speaks” by Ahmed Khaled Mustafa through a set of aesthetic elements, and to clarify their cognitive significance represented in the title thresholds, the cover painting, as well as the drawings and introduction, Focusing then on the cognitive fields embedded in the narrative text, such as scientific knowledge, psychology, sociology, and metaphysics, we seek to demonstrate the interconnectedness of a number of these fields, known as Interdisplinarity, within a new narrative structure that creates a cognitive reader and gives the novel effectiveness and continuity.
