Abstract

This article focuses on the theme of migration in two novels by Mouloud Feraoun: La terre et le sang and Les chemins qui montent. Through two narratives and two generations of characters - a father and a son (Amer and Amer N’Amer) - the writer finds a fair balance between fiction and reality to analyze with sensitivity and subtlety this socio-economic phenomenon of Algeria during the colonial period.
