Receiving the Parallel Text in Contemporary Arab Criticism Concept and Perspective

Abstract

 This study deals with receiving parallel texts in the Arabic Literary Criticism, through research into the nature of Arab critics’ dealing with the term and the concept, and it keeps track of the nature of the studies which have used parallel texts as a starting block. It monitors the problematic transfer of the foreign term “parallel text” into Arabic criticism and the many equivalents that have come into existence for this particular term.
