The importance of texts in teaching Arabic

Abstract

Texts constitute an effective tool in accomplishing the task of teaching language skills and, when properly selected and employed, they should also be helpful in the acquisition of language skills and mastery of the language in dealing with various levels. However, there are many shortcomings in the implementation of this important tool in teaching language. In this study, we highlight the importance of educational texts in acquiring Arabic language skills in theory and in actual practice.
