Syntax pertains to the syntactic approach, which studies the relationships within the sentence structure, the movement and harmony of elements, and their coherence within a complete and beneficial context where meanings align, and connotations
coordinate to form an integrated unit that provides benefit. Syntax operates on the fundamental levels underlying modern linguistic analysis. Within the framework of Arabic grammar, both ancient scholars and some of their modern counterparts have addressed its concept and terminology, distinguishing it from grammar. This distinction has been emphasized by figures such as de Saussure, the formalists, the functionalists, and particularly the generativists, who consider syntax a material that is analyzed to extract the rules connecting its elements to generate new structures, thus forming a set of appropriate relationships that link these elements together.
