Abstract

This study aims to highlight Nietzsche's stance on religion and to attempt to understand the religious and philosophical dimensions of this stance in the light of  the decline of religious values in general, and Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism in particular. Nietzsche seeks to abandon these values, which he considers to represent values of decay, extinguishment, and pessimism, diminishing the value of humanity and the greatness of its mind and consciousness. This led him to advocate for the cultivation of new values that sanctify humanity, reason, and life, values that express sovereignty, greatness, and nobility of the human mind.
