The Image in Children's Stories: Between Reality and Literary Fiction with Examples from Algerian Narratives

Abstract

In this research paper, we aim to explore the nature of the image and its impact on literature, particularly on children’s stories in Algeria.

Whether the image is literal or metaphorical within textual discourses, we examine whether it fulfills its purpose in stimulating children’s imagination, addressing their needs in their tangible world for a better life, or aiding in understanding the intent of the text. Through the analysis of these two types of images, we seek to clarify the ambiguity surrounding the relationship between them.
