Abstract

This study examines the manifestations of the female body in the poetic text Al-Mahjouz, a folk song, that has become part of

the repertoire of Constantine’s Malouf.

Through an anthropological and analytical reading of the poem Al-Mahjouz, titled O Torture of My Heart, My Guide by Ammar

bin  Khudair, the study aims to provide an  anthropological perspective on femininity while uncovering the aesthetics of the female body's representation and interpreting its connotations. This is achieved by tracing the patterns, images, and events that dominate the text.
