Narrating the Dream in the Novel “I Am Youssef” by Ayman Al-Atoum: Between Anthropological and Ideological Consciousness

Dreams are messages encoded with cultural, anthropological, and religious symbols, and with ideological and cultural extensions. In this research, we attempt to decipher the dreams narrated and inspired by a historical reality in which the writer presented the religious heritage according to a growing mythical soul.
Through it, we highlight the manifestations of anthropological and ideological consciousness in the discourse of dream narration. Accordingly, we adopted a combination between cultural reading and the mechanisms of psychoanalysis. So, how is dreaming considered one of the most important human experiences that contribute to anthropological and ideological consciousness? What is the assortment of the cultural patterns revealed by consciousness of dreams?
