The issue of Al-fehoula and its manifestations in ancient Arab criticism

Abstract

This research aims to address the issue of virility in Arab criticism through the most prominent of the ancient people who looked at it, led by Al-Asma'i and Ibn Salam Al-Jemahi. Because they are best suited to such theoretical studies, and we will try to answer the following problems: How did the issue of virility manifest itself in the ancient critical lesson? And what are the contrasts among old critics in looking at it? Can we say: The critical orientation of Al-Asma'i is the reference in this case, and he is credited with 

establishing a mature critical vision in comparison with others?
