Abstract

The human dynamics unfolding among the central characters in the novel "Lilies Under the Ice" give rise to a conflict system between opposing dichotomies, whether at the individual or group level. Consequently, the truth regarding "the ego" and "the other" becomes apparent, with each participating self-undertaking actions within the narrative process. By tracing the roles of each character from the onset to the conclusion of the events, the writer's proficiency in dissecting the manifestations of reality becomes evident, adapting to the nuances of each human situation and the cultural and social characteristics that shape the setting's places and times.
