Abstract

The aim of this study is to shed light on the issue of ecological ethics through the historical and chronological trace of term ecology and then how it relates to the field of ethics so that it turns from ecological to ecological ethics, after that, we monitored the position of French philosophers, such as luc ferry, who called for respect for animals and plants as natural beings that have rights just as humans have rights, this approach was called" democratic ecology", and Michel serres who calls for establishment of a natural relationship between all beings, and termed this the" natural contract", which means undermining "self-centrism" and replacing the concept of" natural centrality", we conclude the study with a comparison between the position of luc and Michel, relying on the historical, analytical and comparative method
