Abstract

this study aims, toinvestigate the founding elements of the tragic narrative in the collection of short stories damascus winter by nouar yassin,this collection that appeared in 2016 in diffcult  historical period in the arab region,espescilly the countries of the arab east,were i dealt with the results of the wave of arab spring events, that have led many arab countries to devastatation,and the demise of its political systems, and the spread of chaos in its part,such as iraq,libya,syria,and tunisia.
