Abstract

Literary discourse seeks to build knowledge that translates spiritual experiences, and Sufi knowledge explores the nature of the Sufi spirit as a way toward absolute truth. Gibran Khalil Gibran is one of those who responded to the anguish of longing and the passion of burning with the effect of meaning and the desire to reach. Accordingly, this study aims to answer the following questions: How can the creative text adopt a certain symbolic system to deprive the sensible and embody the abstract? How are linguistic functions subject to vision and taste experience? How did the pre-cultural stage affect the presence of the Sufi dimension in Gibran's literature?
