The Impact of Working Memory on Arithmetic Processing in Individuals with Broca's Aphasia

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify Reflection of working memory on arithmetic processing in patients with Broca's aphasia, For this purpose, the study was conducted with two cases with Broca's aphasia, which were selected in an intentional manner,, In order to reach the aim of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive method , using the descriptive approach based on a case study. For collecting informations  we have based on two tests : the working memory of( Wais3 )(Phonological Loop , Central Executive, and (Peanut) Visuo-Spatial Sketchpad(  and the arithmetic processing TLC2, and accordingly we asked the following question: If there is a reflection of the working memory on the arithmetic processing of the patient with Broca's aphasia?

 After unpacking and interpreting the results, the results concluded that working memory disturbance affects the arithmetic processing of a person with Broca's aphasia
