This article discusses a well-known Algerian literary figure which is that of Mouloud Feraoun, who was assassinated, the day the ceasefire was announced, by the Organization of Secret Army (OAS). This article deals with a book that was published only after his death and after Algeria gained its independence on July 05, 1962, where the clear position of this writer on the liberation revolution and its developments appears, and this is the position which denies what was spread about him and his ideas. Perhaps the main problem posed should be: What was the position of Feraoun from the Liberation Revolution. Studying the writer’s book a chronological study for its events seems difficult because the events are cut, in addition to its different parts mentioned in the book. For this, we tried study the book from a historical perspective, far from the literary study, by dealing with the most important ideas mentioned in the book and which concern the Liberation Revolution. This is done by comparing the ideas with what was mentioned in his other books. For this reason, the study was not an artistic one with the absence of the artistic style, the artistic language and the artistic place, since the speciality of the research if far from this field.
