In our present paper, we take a descriptive view of collocations as they appear in modern linguistics by various Arabic-speaking, French-speaking and English-speaking linguists, like Heliel, Cowie, Hoogland, Ghazala, Khogali, Lyons, Firth, Halliday, Emerly, etc. Hence, we want this study to be under a comprehensive vision to allow specialists, and others, to see this universal linguistic phenomenon and its own characteristics. There are also comparisons between languages such as Arabic, English and French to help the reader better visualize the kind of gradual and scalar calcification.
