The Algerian health system discusses the problem of ensuring the provision of treatment and rationalizing expenses

Abstract

Health systems seek to focus on important issues. On the one hand, it is crucial to search for effective ways of acquiring sufficient financial resources and use them efficiently and effectively in order to get justice. On the other hand, health policies adopted by authorities have to be oriented to the interest of those disadvantaged classes which can benefit from care health with less cost and without being exposed to financial risks caused by direct payment methods at service delivery points.

The public spending constitutes a primordial service to guarantee access to health care, and alleviate the burden of actual spending of the families. High premiums that individuals may pay directly at times of obtaining health care would have been an obstacle as far as financial risks hedging policies are concerned. Further, differences between families in the light of direct spending abilities to get access to health services may raise a problematic issue to achieve justice and equity between families and individuals in obtaining health care.
