Abstract

The colloquial languages have diversified in Algeria and spread like wildfire, to the point that they have begun to disturb the eloquent tongue by sweeping and obscuring it from every side and in every position and article. It is truly regrettable to find those who openly call for the empowerment of these colloquial languages, their promotion, and their replacement of the classical language, which we have no doubt is the basis. The only one for our unity and communication among us on the one hand as sons of one nation and among other sons of the Arab and Islamic nation. Through this study, we will attempt to monitor the features of the dominance of the multiple and diverse colloquial languages in Algeria over classical Arabic, and how they have worked and will gradually work towards the decline of the classical Arabic language in the Algerian environment. If there is no plan to limit this sweeping tide that was directed after independence, If the articulation of the colloquial language is the future hope for eliminating bilingualism, how can this be achieved with the multiplicity and diversity of the colloquial languages?
