Ideology in the works of the pioneers of sociology: Auguste Comte, Karl Marx, Herbert Spencer are examples
Abstract
Ideology has always marked the path of sociology since the beginnings of social thought. The personal, normative aspect has always been present in the thinking of sociologists. Also their inclination to preserve the current social state or to transcend towards a better social model, or at least opt for a reform according to the values of each, constituted the main characteristic of their work. This article aims to discover the ideological influences which marked the work of certain pioneers of sociology during the 19th century.
