The Concept of Skills as part of business strategy
Abstract
Over the past two decades, skills have become a central component of the scholarly agenda in the field of business strategy. Indeed, questioning the concept of skills today is a necessity in view of the globalization that is coming and which implies as a corollary the emergence of a situation of competition between national and foreign economic operators. Succeeding in the context of economic globalization where the key words are competitiveness and flexibility requires, among other things, competence within the company. Skills management is now a prerequisite for any firm that wants to maintain or improve its performance. Our article attempts to define in a global manner the current emergence of the concept of skills and the evolution of its definitions. To do this, several approaches will be examined.
