Abstract

The concept of self-esteem occupies an important place in research in the field of psychology and guidance psychology, because it plays a major role in the educational process, and among the pillars of this process is the student who prepares his academic and professional project in a complex environment characterized by tension between his desires, personal inclinations, and family expectations. And social. Therefore, school experience, self-evaluation, desires for guidance, and general self-esteem all seem to be essential factors in a strategic study that focuses on the student and the school institution to which he belongs. In other words, is it not possible to create an integrated vision for a model of school and vocational guidance within the framework of a developmental, gradual, and regular methodology?

The originality of this article is to clarify that certain dimensions of students' self-esteem, such as social and physical appearance, significantly influence their wishes and strategies for considering their academic and professional future. This invites us as researchers and educators, educational and professional guidance counselors to take this subjective into account, on the one hand during the work that we carry out with the Lycians in order to help them develop a real study project, and on the other hand. on the other hand, make a correlation with the world of work; by specifying the main stages of an institutional approach based on a design of a strategic, developmental, coherent and systemic approach appropriate to the school and professional environment.
