Thresholds’ speech in Zainab’s novel

Abstract

This research is included among the approaches to the discourse of thresholds of narrative texts. We had chosen a fundamental text in the novel Arab which is (ZAINAB) by NAJIB MAHFOUD, which was studied by several critical approaches, from there we wanted to read it from of its textual entries, which is necessary to understand all kinds of texts.

      As for the paratextual elements that we analyzed in this text: (the writer's name, the introduction, the title, the dedication) and its relationships with the text, as G.Genette showed in his book (Seuils).
