Historical event, and literary writing: May 8, 1945 in the texts of Kateb Yacine
Abstract
The reflection carried out in this article is based on a privileged relationship in the field of French-language Algerian literature: work and history. We have retained an important event in the history of the Algerian national movement: May 8, 1945. Who better than Kateb Yacine can “write” this demonstration? The writer participated in the demonstration: this experience will be fictionalized in his major texts: Soliloquies, The Encircled Corpse, Nedjma .The historical explicitness is then made implicit by writing.
