Abstract

Mountain erosion always strikes the observer. Deep washouts, landslides, siltation of dams are the symbol of an environment mistreated by its population, and of a compromised future. And it is with good reason that recent language retains the notion of “sustainable” development. But there is a whole debate behind it, and many preconceived ideas. Which can be schematized by the dialogue between three actors.
