Abstract

This research article aims to identify cybercrime as a distinctive category, separate from traditional crimes, both in its characteristics and legal structure. This distinctiveness has led to various forms of cybercrime, resulting in real legal challenges regarding the applicable law and the competent judicial authority to adjudicate recorded cases. Consequently, comparative legislations and Algerian law have adopted mechanisms for international judicial cooperation and assistance through the conclusion of bilateral and multilateral agreements, in order to enhance the capacities of law enforcement agencies within states to confront the spread of cybercrime domestically and abroad.
