Abstract

The linguistic reality in Algeria is based on the daily practice of the two national languages: Tamazight (with all its variants) and Arabic (classical and dialectal). These two languages have coexisted for centuries and are characterized by their use across the entire national territory. This article will address the real situations of coexistence of the two national languages in Algeria and the importance of translation between them to strengthen contact and exchanges between the Arabic-speaking and Amazigh-speaking communities.
