The Impact of the Image in the Learning Process of F. F. L.

Abstract

Today, the learning of French as a Foreign Language requires the use of several media that can facilitate this learning. To properly explain his/her own lesson, the teacher (guide) uses several educational tools such as iconographic documents.  The use of these tools is very popular nowadays because they facilitate the transmission of knowledge orally or in writing. The final goal remains the motivation of learners to learn the language (in our case, the study the French language). The iconographic supports improve the learning quality of French as a Foreign Language, because the image attracts, explains and favors the expression. In the same way, the animation directs the learner towards imagination. The mediator (teacher) uses his/her supports in the lessons of comprehension. Once understood, the learner can then move on to expression.
